You can also hide your washer and dryer behind a curtain. You can put up a pole and then put a lovely curtain in front of it. Depending on where it is, someone might assume that it is a window.
You might also be able to build cabinetry around your washer and dryer. There are companies that can building cabinetry to any shape and size you desire, and this can be an option. It can be right in a main room but be disguised behind beautiful cabinetry.
