You may not have a big budget for the 2010 Christmas season but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your child a great gift. Consider the following ideas if your budget is $10 or less.
DVDs
There are many DVDs that are well under $10. In fact, many of them are $5 at Target and other stores, which means you might be able to get two. At Wal-Mart they were even selling DVDs for $2 during Black Friday in the prior year of 2009, which meant you could even get five! Make sure that you get something that is age-appropriate for the children. Many kids like Dora the Explorer, Barney, Sesame Street and other such favorites.
Books
You will find many books for under $10 for 2010 Christmas. In fact you might even be able to put together a small gift basket. You can also include a bookmark. You can include books the child likes in a series or something that is educational.
Clothing item
There are many clothing items that are under $10 for Christmas. You can often find graphic t-shirts for this price. You might be able to find a superhero t-shirt for a boy for instance, or something with flowers, ponies or butterflies for a girl. If the child is a little older, then she might like a piece of costume jewelry like a necklace or ring. You can also get a little assortment of hair accessories. A girl might also like a small purse or even perfume or makeup if she is old enough.
Doll
There are many dolls that are priced under $10 that would make great 2010 Christmas gifts. These are stuffed animals, baby dolls and characters from movies. You can often get something that is decent sized for this price.
Matchbox cars
Many little kids love matchbox cars. You can sometimes get entire sets for $10. You might also find little train parts for this amount of money as well. You can also get accessories such as a case to carry his or her cars in.
When Christmas comes around in 2010, you want to be ready. Even with the small amount of money of $10 you can still get them something great. Look for sales to make your money stretch further. Also, a lot of kids would simply enjoy a $10 bill to spend on what they want. You can even take them on a shopping spree for ten items in the dollar store.
