Should you Change your Exercising

(423 Words)
Exercise is extremely important for you. It can have a very positive effect on your health. There are many different exercise routines that you can do. Not every routine is right for everyone, however. You may need to change your exercise routine if you see the following signs:
You are always in pain
Exercise should make you feel better, not worse. Sometimes you feel a little soreness when you start or change a routine, but if you are constantly feeling sore it might be a problem. Also, you should not hurt in places like your joints or back. If these places hurt, you might end up hurting yourself seriously. For instance, if you are running but your knees always hurt then you might be putting yourself at risk for a knee injury and need to switch to a form of exercise with less of an impact such as swimming.
You are not getting aerobic exercise
It is very important for aerobic or cardio exercise to be part of any exercise plan. This is exercise in which you keep your heart rate elevated for a prolonged period of time. This can be very beneficial for your heart and lower your risk of numerous diseases and conditions.
It is too easy
Some people go the other way and make their exercise too easy. Your heart rate should go up during cardio exercise.
You are not losing weight if this is your goal
You may be trying to exercise to lose weight. Unless you are compensating by eating more, exercising should help you lose weight or at least build muscle and get a lower body fat ratio. You may not be doing enough.
You hate it
Not everyone likes exercise but you shouldn’t hate it. It should not be something you dread. There are so many different ways to get exercise; there will hopefully be something that you can tolerate if not enjoy. If you really hate it then you should look around. This is especially true if you are not keeping up with it because of the fact that you do not like it.
It can be difficult coming up with the best exercise routine for you. Generally you want to include about half an hour of cardio most days of the week and then also some weight training. You can read books or look online for suggestions on routines. If you want something personalized, you can utilize the services of a person trainer. Keep trying until you find the perfect exercise routine for you.
