There are many different bulletin boards that you can create for the library. You can use your creativity and make something that is fun, beautiful, educational or a combination of all of these. The following are several library bulletin board ideas.
Create a board that is related to the months of the year
One nice idea is to have a different bulletin board for every month of the year. You can put up things that are related to each month. For instance, in the month of January when it is cold and snowy you can put up some cotton snowmen and some paper snowflakes. In April when it might be rainy, you could put up a scene depicting rain. You can then also put up a calendar with the monthly events that your library has on the bulletin board so it can be informative. You can also use it to put down special things that happened in that month in history.
An alternative to doing it by the month would be to have it relate to a season. You could have the spring one be full of flowers and little animals, the summer one show a fun beach theme, the fall one show a bunch of trees with leaves the fiery colors of autumn and the winter one showcase a beautiful winter wonderland scene.
Place scenes of the holidays on it
There is almost always some sort of holiday approaching. You can use a bulletin board to help celebrate these holidays. For instance, during December, you can have a bulletin board that has a Christmas tree and a Hanukkah menorah on it. During Valentine’s Day is can be red and sparkly and filled with depictions of hearts and roses. Before the Fourth of July, you can have it be very patriotic, with American flags and different scenes related to the red, white and blue. You can just change it after every holiday has passed with the scenes from the next.
Make it related to different types of books
A nice idea for a library bulletin board is to have it surround a specific genre of book. For instance, you can have it be about mystery books one month. You can put up different book covers of mystery books or put up scenes related to that genre. Another day you could do romance books, another time could be science fiction books and so forth.
There are many different ways you can make a library bulletin board. Consider the above ideas when creating your masterpiece.
