Themes for a Tween or Teen Girls Room

You want your tween girl to have a beautiful room. She is too old for a “baby” room but might not be quite ready for an adult room. She may enjoy one of the following themes for her room.
Rock Star
Many tween girls love to admire their favorite rock stars per psychologists cited by News Digital Media. These rock stars also make a great theme for a tween’s bedroom. You can get rock star wallpaper for her room or paint guitars on it. Put up pictures of rock stars. You can also hang guitars or records on the wall. They make many different bedding sets, curtains and other home items with a guitar theme.
Flowers
Flowers make a beautiful theme for a tween girl’s room, especially if the girl is very feminine. You can get a bedding set and curtains with pretty flowers on them. Paint flowers on the wall or put up wallpapers with flowers. Let your daughter keep fake or real plants in the room. You can get her a houseplant such as an African violet; these are easy to grow per the Purdue University Department of Horticulture. There are many other things you can get with flowers on it. Some pieces of furniture even have molded flowers.
Television show
If your child likes a particular television character then this can be the theme of her room. Many girls are obsessed with their favorite shows and heartthrobs and this can be a testament to them. Because the obsession may not last long, consider putting up posters that can be removed. You can also decorate it with movie posters of different movies that she enjoys.
Theme color
Home and Garden Television states another idea for a tween girl is just to have a color theme. This is good because it can work as the child gets older. She might like pink as a theme if she is a “girly girl.” She might like something modern in black and white. You can look for bedding in that color and make the walls and floors those colors as well.
Mature room
Your little girl might just be ready for a mature room, at which point you can get her a set that will work as she grows through her teenage years. You can put up pictures of things that she loves. For instance, if she loves animals, then put up posters or paintings of animals.
There are many great themes for a tween girl’s bedroom. Tween girls range greatly in their tastes and maturity. Talk to your child to confer about what would she would like the best.
