When Easter comes around, you can do a fun craft with the kids to celebrate the holiday. There are many great crafts with the Easter Bunny that are easy for even young children to do.
Consider the following ideas:
Easter Bunny Hat
Your child can pretend to be the Easter Bunny with a simple hat. There are many different ways to do this, and you can do it easily with no more supplies than paper, scissors, tape and crayons.
First, you want a paper strip that can go around your child’s head. You or your child can cut out a long strip that will be this part. Measure it by holding it around your child’s head and then tape it at the right size. Your child can then decorate bunny ears to tape or glue to the top of the strip.
Alternatively, you can cut out a strip that already has bunny ears on it. The child can then decorate it however he or she likes with crayons, markers and embellishments like cotton balls.
Easter Bunny Puppet
Another very easy craft for Easter is to make an Easter Bunny puppet. This can be done with either a white paper bag at the base or a white sock. The child can cut bunny ears out of construction paper and glue it on to the white paper bag. For something very simple, he or she can then simply draw in the bunny face with crayons, markers or colored pencils.
If you want to make it more involved, then he or she can add embellishments for these features instead. For instance, you can put in little sequins, rhinestones or buttons for the eyes and little pieces of straw for the whiskers.
Cotton Easter Bunny
A very easy craft is to let young children glue down cotton balls in the shape of the Easter Bunny. For very young children, you can draw out the general shape of the Easter Bunny and the child just has to glue down the cotton balls in between the lines. You can let older children design their own bunny. You can also use these cotton balls on the puppet craft above.
There are many great Easter Bunny crafts that you can do with your children for Easter. Make sure that the craft is appropriate for the age range of your child, and make sure to properly supervise him or her, especially if the craft has small parts such as cotton balls. You can also let your child use markers and crayons to further personalize any of the crafts listed above.
