A lot of people have basements that are somewhat finished and may only need certain things added such as electrical outlets. Other people have basements that are not finished and the cost would be far greater.

Remember that other costs of the home also may go up such as air conditioning and heating bills. Think about your financial situation and whether you can afford this.
