Many people do not have enough closet space in their homes, which can be very frustrating. It can also make it difficult to keep the home clean when you simply do not know what to do with your clothing. There are solutions and different ways that you can store your clothing when you do not have enough closet space.
Consider making yourself more closet space. If you have the means, space and money, you can build an additional closet, however this can be difficult to do. There are other easier ways that you can easily create a new closet without hiring a contractor. For instance if you have a little extra area in your room, you can hang up a bar and put up a pretty curtain or a nice dressing screen across your room. Behind this, you can mount a bar and then hang your clothing. This works well if you have a lot of extra room and need more places to hang your clothing.
If the clothing does not need to be hung up, you can buy drawers and chests. They make chests of drawers and dressers in all different styles, shapes and sizes. You can buy a very inexpensive piece or something very expensive that is part of a set. If you really do not care what it looks like, you can even buy plastic drawers to store your clothing.
Another idea is to get an armoire. These can be very large and hold a great deal of clothing. You can easily adjust the shelves to put the clothing into it.
You may need more space where you can hang your clothing. They sell armoires that have a bar at the top where you can hang clothing. Many of these are for half-length clothing such as shirts, but you can get one that gives a full length for your clothing.
You can also look to store clothing under your bed. They make many under-the-bed bins that accommodate clothing. You can also look for a bed that has drawers within it.
If it is clothing that you are not going to wear for a while, such as winter clothing during the summer, them you can box it up and put it away in another area. For instance, you might be able to put it into a storage space or into your basement to get it out of your closet.
