Often this will include the words baby, mom, dad or the names of the people in the family. You can make up whatever words you want. It could be only one word such as baby or you can have a variety of words that are banned. If someone hears another person saying a banned words, and they collect all of the pins the person has. The person who has the most clothespins at the end wins.
You can also make a game where people have to guess how large the mother-to-be is. Get a large ball of yarn and a pair of scissors. Tell the people to cut a piece of yarn that they think is the equivalent to the length of yarn that would need to encircle the mother-to-be’s belly. After everyone has their piece of yarn the mother-to-be will measure the yarn against her belly to find the exact size. The person who gets it the closest wins.
You can also play a trivia game. Make a trivia survey with questions about the mother, father and baby to be. For instance, people can try to guess what the theme of the nursery is going to be. You can also ask them to guess how much the mother and father weighed when they were born. You can make as many questions as you want and make it as easy or hard as you want. The person who gets the most questions right at the end wins.
