Many children have train sets. These are one of the most common toys for little boys and girls, and they may have a variety of pieces that go with it. There are different options for storing train sets, and many factors to consider when deciding which method is the best for you.
Train table
A lot of children get train tables to go with their train sets. In fact, you can buy a train table and train set in one. This is very convenient because it gives a good place for your child to play with the train set. This lets your child stand and play with the trains and avoids it being all over the floor and creating a tripping hazard. If you have a train table you may simply leave the train on top of the table.
Some people have a train table, but may also use the table for other functions or simply not want the trains all over them. Some train tables come with drawers or other storage areas so that you can store the trains within them. This may be an option for you.
Original box
You may find it the most convenient to store the train set in its original box. The original box may be the perfect size for the pieces. You can then set the box in a closet or on a shelf.
Plastic bins
Many people buy plastic bins to store their children’s toys. You can have this covered or not. They sell these bins in all different sizes, shapes and colors so you can get one that will fit where you need to fit it. For instance, you may want a low and flat one to store under the bad or thin ones that will stack on top of each other.
Find one that will accommodate all the parts of the train set. One advantage is that you can store different parts of the set in different bins. For instance, you can place the train tracks in one bin and the trains in another bin. You can further break it down and store certain types of tracks in different bins. This may make it easier for the child to play with the set.
Attractive display
You may create a beautiful miniature city with your child’s train set. If you make a beautiful display then you can put this somewhere in your home for guests to see. It can become part of the decorations.
There are many ways that you can store a train set. Think about the train that you have as well as your storage area when deciding what method to use.
