Budgets are very small this year and you might need some stocking stuffers or regular Christmas gifts for under $5. Consider the following ideas for Christmas 2010.
Slinky
A lot of little kids enjoy slinky’s and these are often under $5. These can be a lot of fun as you watch them go down a set of stairs.
Little craft set
You can often find a little craft set for under $5. It might include a little plastic sun catcher and paints, for instance. This can help children explore their creativity.
Doll
You can sometimes buy a small doll for under $5. Many little kids love dolls. It may be little, but so are kids, so it might be the perfect thing that they can take with them. You can also get a small stuffed animal.

Even if you only have $5 to spend on a 2010 Christmas gift, you can still get something that the child will like. You might want to look at a dollar store such as the Dollar Tree or the dollar spot at Target, where you can even get several toys for the little ones. No matter what you get make sure that it is age-appropriate and safe for your child.
