Tips on how to please your Parents
Some may think that pleasing their parents is an unattainable task, a dream that only perfect people can accomplish. Of course, most of the time this is not true. Try the following tips to please these most important people in your life.
Live a healthy lifestyle
Most parents want to see their children healthy. One of the worst things you can do is lead a life that puts yourself in danger. For instance, most parents hope that their children will never try drugs, smoking or excessive drinking. They may want you to eat healthy and stay at a weight that is healthy for your body. They may want you to avoid dangerous things such as hitchhiking. They want you to abide by the laws of society and not get into trouble with the police. They want to go to sleep at night thinking that you are safe and not wondering what calamity you will get into next.
Contact them
Your parents may be very pleased to hear from you. They spend so much time raising you, and now you might be off on your own. It can be the most difficult thing for a parent to let go of their children, and those who seem to disappear only to call once every few months hurt their parents a lot. You should call them regularly and visit if at all possible. Remember their birthdays. Make time for them just as they made time for you.
Find that special someone (that they approve of)
Many parents are truly pleased when their child settles down with someone that they like. They do not want their kids to be with someone who they think could hurt them or who cannot provide.
Be wise with your career and/or money
Your parents might be very pleased if you find yourself a good career and succeed (or raise children). They may feel bad if they worked hard to give you all of the opportunities but you threw them away and are in a job that does not allow you to pay your bills. They will probably be very pleased if you manage to live independently and do not need to constantly borrow money from them.
Different parents will be pleased by different things. Many will be happy when the grandchildren come (as long as it is the time). Of course, more than anything most parents are pleased simply to see their children happy.
