A bounce house party can be a lot of fun for a child. There are two general ways that you can do this. You can have your birthday party at an activity center that has a lot of bounce houses for the children or you can rent/buy your own bounce house and have it at another location such as at your house or a park. The following are some tips for throwing a bounce house birthday party.
Decide which of those that you are going to do
First you will have to decide between the two aforementioned categories. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Advantages of the bounce house activity center is that you can often get a package where they do everything for you and you can just sit back and enjoy it. They often have a lot of huge bounce houses with slides and different things that the bounce house you own or rent would not typically come with (unless you spend a lot of money). These can be a little pricey however. There are also advantages to buying or renting one. Obviously if you have your own already, you can just have it at your house and spend very little money. They are often not too costly to rent and then you can have other different things at the party. You can have it at your own house, which many people find convenient.
Make sure you are comfortable with liability
Unfortunately, in today’s times you have to think about liability and what if something goes wrong. If a child gets injured, you do not want to get sued with no recourse. Many of the centers will have insurance – inquire about it before you contract with them. The same goes for if you are renting it.
Think about the type you want
If you are buying or renting the bounce house, think about the different types you can get. Some are just plain and standard bounce houses with a square or rectangular area for jumping. Some of them are decorated on the outside with princesses or other favorite characters. Some of them have additional feature such as an obstacle course, slides, a basketball hoop or other features. Think about what you want.
Pay attention to the rules and supervise the children
There are rules about how many kids should be in the bounce house at once. Make sure to adhere to these. Also to avoid someone getting kicked hard you might want them to take off their shoes. Also, you can think about other safety precautions such as not bringing toys in there. Make sure the children are supervised at all times.
