Do you remember the long summer days of your childhood, playing outside with your friends until your mother called you five times for dinner? Summer is a special time during the magic of childhood, and there are many great outdoor toys that can help you build memories to last a lifetime. Consider the following toys.
Water toys
The summer is hot, and water toys can play the perfect foil to the heat. One great summer outdoor toy is simply a little wading pool. Of course, you can get a classic pool, but now you will see many different options. They have inflatable pools with things that splash and squirt and get everyone all wet. In addition to pools, they have the classic Slip and Slides. You can buy a simple one or get one that has a tunnel or extra jets to soak willing children. Also, they make different toys that attach to hoses and will spray water this way and that. There are many smaller water toys. For instance, many kids love to play with water guns. If you would prefer not having a toy “gun” then they make some that are shaped like a fireman’s backpack that have a hose to squirt water. Your children may be able to play for hours with these various toys.
Roller skates
Children love to skate down the street on their roller skates. They make all different types for all different ages. You will find some for the youngest of kids that just fit on over their shoes. They also make some that are adjustable so that they will grow with your children for years. As your children get older, they may like some inline skates.
Sports toys
A lot of children love to play sports outdoor in the warm summer weather. A simple ball, bat and glove can set up a game to last for hours. You can get a volleyball set or a basketball hoop. They sell soccer nets, golf sets and more. These are geared towards specific ages of children so make sure that you get something that is appropriate for your kids.
Bicycle
A lot of children love to ride bicycles. Obviously, this is done outdoors by most children. They make many different types, and you should be sure to get the correct size. Also, be sure to include a helmet for safety.
Summer is a great time to play outdoors. Consider the above toys for your children during this season.
