Consultant
Depending on your field, you might be able to work as a consultant. Many companies do not have the need or the funds to hire someone full time to do certain work and they might hire a consultant instead. This can be from a wide variety of fields, from marketing to engineering to many others. Oftentimes the per hour pay you will get will be very high. You do need to make sure that your regular job does not have anything forbidding you from doing this in the rules because you obviously do not want to jeopardize your regular job.
Teaching/tutoring
There are some teaching jobs that you can do to earn you extra money that might be beneficial. Again, this will depend on what field you are in. Some colleges will hire a professional to teach a few night classes. You might also get a job doing some private tutoring. If you have a skill such as teaching piano, swimming or some other particular skill, then you can try to get a job doing that. You can try to ask around or put out ads for people to call you if they are interested.
Freelance work
There is a lot of freelance work a working professional might be able to do in their spare time. If you work as a graphic artist, for instance, you might be able to find someone who will pay you per project or per hour for specific projects. There is a lot of work out there for freelance writers if you know where to look. There are different websites where you can earn extra money by writing such as Helium and there are many companies that do not have a full time copywriter and just use freelance workers when they need something in particular. You can look on the Internet for many of these jobs. You can also try to network and find new jobs through people that you are already working with.
