A baby shower can be a lot of fun. Part of this can be different activities that you can do. There are many different games that you can play, including the following.
Baby bingo
They sell baby bingo cards that you can use to play with the guests. They are similar to regular bingo except instead of numbers and letter they have baby-related things. This can be fun. You can give the winner(s) a price.
Guess how big the mother-to-be’s stomach is
One thing you can do is to have everyone guess how large the mother’s stomach is. You can give everyone a string. They have to cut it to guess at how big the girth of the belly is. Then you will measure her stomach. Whoever is closest will win a prize.
Don’t say the word game
You can give everyone a clothespin or some other token. Then you will tell them that a word or several words are forbidden. It should be a word that is somehow related to the baby. It could be the word “baby,” the name of the child, the name of the mother or anything else that you want. If you overhear someone saying that word then you can take their clothespin as well as any that they got from other people. At the end, the person who has the most clothespins wins.
Quiz about the mother-to-be, baby
You can have a quiz about the mother-to-be and the baby. It can include questions such as:
What is the mother-to-be’s middle name?
Where was the mother-to-be born?
Where did the mother-to-be go to school?
What is the mother-to-be’s favorite food?
You can think of as many questions as you can and then make questionnaires printed out for everyone. Then everyone will take it and the person that is the closest will get a prize.
A handwritten note to the new baby
Another nice activity is to have all of the people give a handwritten note to the new baby. They can all get a piece of paper and write whatever they want. It can be a letter to the baby, a story about the mother, or whatever they think would be nice for the mother and baby to have in the future. This can be very sweet and something that can be a special keepsake. You can put them all in a notebook for the mother at the end.
