Bulletin Board Ideas Teamwork

It is important to teach children about the importance of teamwork, and one way you can do so is through the use of a bulletin board. Consider the following ideas for such a board.
Show the class practicing teamwork in action
If you have the kids practice teamwork in the classroom such as in projects or other class assignments, then you can take pictures of it and post these on your bulletin board. It can make the bulletin board personalized and bring home the importance of working together.
Places where you can do teamwork
The bulletin board can focus on the different places that the children might do or see teamwork. For instance, it can show a picture of two students studying for a test together. It can show two adults doing a job such as firefighters working together to put out a fire or a doctor and nurse working together. You can show people working together to clean up a beach or doing other volunteer work. You can especially focus on things that the child can do such as if they can work with their parents to help keep the house clean, do the laundry, take care of the family pet or do other chores.
The importance of teamwork
You can write on your bulletin board the different reasons why teamwork is so important. The points you put can include “Can often get more done than two people working individually” and “Can get unique ideas and viewpoints.” You can have the children come up with some of the points and post those.
Story about teamwork
You can make the bulletin board be a comic strip or story about someone who has the opportunity to practice teamwork and has a good outcome. For instance, the character can be trying to do something on his or her own, but have difficulty. Someone can come along and together they can be successful. In turn, this person may then help someone else in need.
Children’s drawings of teamwork
You can use the bulletin board to display different art projects by the children. For instance, they can draw a picture of an instance when they were practicing teamwork. They can also write a report to accompany their picture.
The lesson of teamwork is a valuable one, and a bulletin board can be a great way to showcase this to children. Use one, several or all of the above ideas when putting together your board.
