It can be a challenge for a 15-year-old boy to find a job. There are, however, a lot of good jobs that he can do if he takes the time and effort to find one. The following are some of the best jobs for 15-year-old boys.
Work for your parents
If your parents have any sort of business, you might want to see if you can work for them in order to earn some extra money. Oftentimes they could use the help if they have a small mom and pop business, and you could both be helping each other out. If there is no business, you might still be able to work for them. Perhaps they have odd jobs that you can do for some extra money above your regular chores. This might be a good way to earn money without needing to leave your home.
Shovel snow/rake leaves/lawn care
A lot of boys this age who have trouble finding a job might decide to work for themselves. There is different work you can do related to lawn care. You might be able to take care of lawns for different neighbors. When the weather is warm you could mow lawns. In the fall, you could rake leaves, and in the winter you could shovel the snow. You might be able to earn a decent amount of money from these activities. You can go door to door seeking out customers or have your parents ask the different neighbors if anyone needs help.
Clean cars
You might be able to make some money cleaning cars. Again, you might be able to do this for your different neighbors. You can just do a basic job cleaning the cars or you can do extra things like waxing the cars, vacuuming, etc. You can charge per car and see if you can get any regular customers, which can give you somewhat of a steady income. You might even be able to ask your friends who are older and have cars if they need someone to wash their cars.
Work as a busboy
Working in a restaurant might be good because in some cases you can earn tips, which might bring you above the minimum wage that most boys this age can expect to earn. There are many restaurants that will hire someone of this age, so you will need to just go around and see if anyone is hiring. You also might be able to be promoted to a waiter as time passes, which can be more lucrative as you go through your teens.
