Obviously, you do not want them thinking that they are coming over your house for a fancy four-course meal but if you invite them over for pizza in the first place, then this can be a great way to entertain friends cheaply but still have a delicious meal. You should look around for deals. Many local pizza places have great deals such as pizzas for $6.99 or less. Other pizza parlors have coupons to make it cheaper, especially if you buy in large quantities.
Buy platters from inexpensive places such as Costco
You will find many platters and large items such as bulk side dishes, appetizers and large cakes for a fraction of the price if you go to a club such as Costco or Sam’s Club. You can often save a lot of money. For instance, Costco sells a delicious cake that serves 48 people for only $16.99. Many mainstream grocery stores charge double that amount (or more) for a similar cake. They also sell a lot of party platters that would be a lot more if you got them from a restaurant. You can get items such as wraps, sandwiches, chicken and even shrimp and save a lot of money.
Chinese food
Chinese food is often very reasonable and most people like it. You can often buy a variety of different things for very little. A lot of Chinese places also have coupons or family packages that can be very economical.
Have a game night
You also might be looking for inexpensive fun things to do with your friends. Many people love to play games. There are a lot of games that are great for parties such as Scattergories, Taboo, and Pictionary. Some people also like bunco parties. Have a movie night (or watch something exciting on television)
