You can search around at different stores, because you may be able to find other inexpensive things. It can be nice to coordinate a lot of different things such as bedding curtains, pictures, etc.
Think about the colors. Some people tie in the bedroom with the same colors. Many people choose pink as their girl color and blue as the boy color, but you can vary this however you would like. You can also use unusual things as decorations, and you can sometimes save money if you are creative. For instance, some people will hang up little girls’ clothes in a little girl’s room. Some people will hang up blankets that they were given. These can be very large pieces that are very pretty.

Depending on how you decorate it, he or she might outgrow it very quickly or it could last way into childhood. Remember babies grow very fast, and you want to be careful about spending a lot of time money and effort on something that will last just a short while. Some items are more versatile than others. For instance they sometimes sell bedroom furniture that have juvenile characters on them such as Winnie the Pooh but then they can be converted so that they have plain wood instead. If you want it to last longer, you can think of ways to make it a little less babyish.
