Working moms have a lot on their plates. Fortunately, there are some high tech ideas that can help you succeed at both of your dueling priorities. Consider the following ideas.
Use an electronic personal assistant device
A lot of working mothers have to juggle many different things. You have work deadlines and appointments to keep as well as all sports games and extracurricular activities to remember. You need to keep organized if you are to remember it all. You may want to use a personal assistant device. You can have a little handheld computer where you can input all of your appointments for both your children and your work. It can give you an alarm when something is coming up. It can also help you remember those special days such as birthdays.
Use a smartphone
A smartphone can be very useful nowadays. First of all, these can double as the personal assistant as listed above. Also, they can allow you to keep in easy communication with your children. Some of these are even coming out with both a front and rear facing camera so that you will actually be able to do a video chat with your children – or your clients. Also, they allow you to take your e-mail on the go. A lot of working moms still need to answer their e-mails even when after hours so this can help get it to them no matter where they go. Also, if you have to take off of work because you need to take care of your children, then this can allow you to still be connected.
Nanny-cam
If you are a working mom and your children are being watched by a nanny, then you might want to consider a nanny-cam. You can often hide a little camera somewhere to make sure that your child is being handled as you would like him or her to be. This would be especially useful for those with children too young to speak.
Laptop
Many working moms carry around a laptop computer. If you are out and about you might be able to get most of the capabilities of your office. You can do work while at your child’s soccer game if need be. If you are on a business trip you can get emails and pictures from your children to help remind you of home.
Many high tech gadgets can make being a working mom easier. Consider utilizing the above ideas.
