Basic office supplies can be used to make Christmas decorations. You will find a variety of ways to make these from different things you have laying in your desk drawer.
Pencil decorations
You can use pencils to put up decorations. For instance, you can use paint or markers to color them red or green. You could even just get pencils that are already red and green. You can glue the pencils to paper or a poster board to form words such as one that says “Merry Christmas!” You can also just take a vase and fill them with green and red pencils. You can also draw little Christmas themes on them such as a little Santa Claus or reindeer. You can Christmas images on paper and glue them to the pencils.
Christmas tree ornaments
There are many office supplies that can be made into Christmas tree ornaments. For instance, you can take some office paper and draw a Christmas theme on it. It can be just words such as “Seasons Greetings.” You can draw stars, Santa, reindeer, Christmas trees or any other image you would like. You can then take a paper clip. Open it up. Poke one end through the paper. You can then use the other end to hang it from an office Christmas tree.
Another option with paperclips is to open them up to spell out works such as “Ho! Ho! Ho!” Remember that the edges can be sharp, so be careful if a child is doing this.
Yellow folder artwork
In many offices they have yellow folders that open up. You can use those as the basis for artwork. You can use pencils or markers to color in different Christmas scenes within them. You can decorate all sides of them, including the front and back or just do the inside pages. You can even put several together to make a “book.” You can put something very religious such as crosses and a nativity scene. It can be something much more lighthearted such as candy canes and elves. You can prop these on desks or you can hang them from the walls. You can also decorate different scenes on envelopes and make it look like Santa is peeking out of one of them.
