Fruits are also very healthy, and a lot of them are very inexpensive. You can have these as a side dish during your meals or even as a dessert instead of something unhealthy. You can buy bananas for instance, and get a healthy accompaniment full of potassium for very reasonable. Also, you can buy a lot of fruits when they are in season and very reasonable. Another way to save money on fruits is to buy them frozen. Sometimes the frozen are actually healthier because they may be washed less and have more of their nutrients in them.
You might want to consider buying at farmer’s markets in order to save money and eat more nutritious. Many farmer’s markets are very reasonable. A lot of times the food is organically grown. Look around for such markets near you.
You may want to find ways to cut unhealthy ingredients from your meals such as fat and oil. Many times you can substitute healthier ingredients.
