Inexpensive or Homemade Gifts for Teen Girls

You do not have a large budget for your teen girl, but you still want to get her something special. There are many inexpensive and/or handmade gifts that that can provide your teen girl with memories to last for a lifetime.
Redo her room
You can make redoing her room a special gift for her. Do it with her to make quality time. You can purchase some inexpensive paint and do it yourself however she would like. Purchase stencils to make the room even more extravagant. You can build new shelves. If you are handy, you can even make some small tables or decorate some furniture for her. You can give her a brand new room, spend very little and create a great experience for you to remember.
Journal
Let your teen girl know how much she means to you. Make a journal of the memories that you have of her, starting from when she was first born. Some parents will have done this already, and you can make a copy for her. Otherwise you can sit down and write out wonderful memories. You can write out what you love about her. Although this will cost next to nothing, it will create a special keepsake that she can treasure forever.
Scrapbook
A scrapbook can bring a touch of nostalgia to you and your little girl. You can fill it with pictures of her as she was growing up. Write out memories you have of those moments. You can include mementoes such as ticket stubs or napkins from restaurants or events. You will probably enjoy making it as much as she enjoys getting it.
Craft
You can hand make a craft for her. For instance, go to a craft sore such as Michael’s Arts and Crafts and buy a wooden mirror or jewelry box. Use craft paints to decorate it for her. Even if you are not the most skilled of artists, she may be touched that you attempted such a gift.
Special day
What your teen girl might want the most from you is a special time to explore the wonderful bond you share. You can make a special day just for her. Let her choose what to do. You can make her favorite meal. She may want to go on a little day trip such as to the beach. Make sure she knows how much you care for her. In the end, that is the greatest gift a parent can give.
There are many wonderful gifts from the heart that cost very little. Think about what would matter most to your girl when choosing your gift.
