A number of jobs require travel. For those who love globetrotting this can be a great benefit and thus the object of their search. Others who prefer to remain homebound may instead avoid these positions.
Military
Those in the military will typically travel. Often these are to far away and exotic places. They may stay there for a long time or for a shorter amount of time. Those on naval boats will also do a lot of traveling. If one truly wants to see the world, this is a fantastic option.
Pilot for a commercial airliner
Travel is clearly necessary for a pilot. Some travel short distances, whereas others make regular overseas journeys. Many of these positions offer as a benefit the ability to travel anywhere the carrier does. The financial incentives and other benefits of this job are excellent, but the training and competition can be stiff. You may work for a commercial airliner or fly smaller planes.
Flight attendant
Commercial planes carry a number of flight attendants. These people have moving offices and may have the opportunity to see the world. Travel is not part of their job – it is their job. They will also often get the perk of being able to travel free of charge.
Cruise ship workers
Those who work on cruise ships obviously travel. It can be wonderful to work and live on these floating cities. Some go short distances whereas others literally transverse the globe. There are a great variety of positions on a cruise ship. You may work as an entertainer, help with the actual running of the ship, provide culinary skills or do one of many other jobs.
Sales positions
Not all sales positions travel, but many do. If you are working for a large business to business company, you may need to travel in order to meet customers. Sales managers may be in charge of a variety of offices.
High level management in a company that is spread in different areas
Many companies have offices all over the country and even all over the world. The high level managers in these companies will often travel to different offices to interact with the workers. They may check on the condition of manufacturing facilities.
Many people enjoy traveling. A job that has this aspect can be excellent for someone with such an interest. One of the above jobs may be perfect for you.
