You could ask them to share a special piece of wisdom. You can then put these into a book for the baby, which will be very special, but not overtax your guests.

If you will be revealing the gender right away, then you can decorate with either the color pink or blue. Alternatively, you can get a theme that is clearly a particular gender such as a princess or digger theme.
