Should you Exercise Outdoors

Many people enjoy exercising outdoors. There are a number of advantages and disadvantages to doing your fitness routine out in the fresh air. These include the following.
Advantages
Exercising outdoors is invigorating. You can through a beautiful natural park or ride a bike on a path. It’s less repetitive than staying in the same spot on the treadmill or on an exercise bike.
Exercising outdoors costs absolutely nothing. When you join a gym you have a monthly fee, which may be expensive.
Exercising outdoors is also good for someone who does not have a lot of room indoors. You may have a small apartment and no room for exercise equipment. Also, there may be too many distractions to exercise regularly.
Disadvantages
Exercising outdoors puts you at the mercy of the weather. You might have to skip your exercise routine and may not be able to do it for the rest of the day, and this could happen several days in a row. If you don’t have a backup plan for bad weather, it could interfere with your workout regimen. Also, there are other days when it may be uncomfortable to do your exercise even if you still can, for example, in the heat of summer or middle of winter.
You also have to be careful about exposure to the sun. When you exercise outside, you may want to put on sunscreen to protect your skin, and this can be a hassle.
It may be difficult to find a good spot to exercise outdoors, as you may not live in an area that has sidewalks or paths. So you might have to pack up and drive somewhere else.
There are also some hazards to exercising outside. For instance, you need to watch out for cars. You might have to deal with this odor of the cars’ exhaust. You also may be self-conscious about exercising where everybody can see you. If you suddenly do not feel well, you may have a trek to make it back your home.
It can be very nice to exercise outdoors. Many people include this at least partly in their routine.
