Steps to take when your Gym is too Busy
You go to the gym all ready to work out but instead of jumping right on a machine instead you get into line. After a few minutes of working out at the machine you jump right into… another line. You get shut out of the aerobics classes if you do not get there early, and when you get in, you can’t do the moves correctly because there are simply too many people around you. It is very frustrating when you are in a gym that is too crowded. There are a variety of measures that you can take when this happens.
One option that may or may not be possible to you is to adjust the times that you go to the gym. Many gyms have peak times when they are far busier than other times. For instance, many gyms are extremely busy in the weekday evening hours when people are stopping by the gym on their way home from work. Depending on the area and the clientele different gyms have different peak times, but you can talk to the staff at the gym to ask about when they are their busiest and when they are their quietest. Often times you can go during the quiet times and walk right into the machine of your choice, stay as long as you want on the machines and get right into aerobics classes with plenty of room. Of course, it is not always possible for everyone to adjust their schedules.
You can also consider the exercises that you do because you may be able to adjust them and be just as happy with your workout. For instance, some machines simply get more people than others. You may be just as happy at a different machine that is not as crowded. Of course you should not sacrifice the exercise routine that works for you. Only make the change if it really does not make a difference to you.
If the gym really is too busy then you might want to see about switching gyms. If you do not have a contract, then this is very easy. When searching for a new gym, make sure to specifically bring up the issue of crowding since this can be a problem for you. You should visit the gyms during the peak times that you would normally visit to see exactly how crowded it is during those times.
If you are under contract, then you should talk to the people about your issues. If you complain enough, you may have a case for them to allow you to break your contract. You may have to complain to the Better Business Bureau or other organizations as well. Many gyms do allow you to break a contract with a penalty.
There are many gyms available, and you should not allow overcrowding sabotage your exercise routine. Try the above steps when your gym is too busy.
