Ideas for Fun Girl Scout Activities

The Girl Scouts is a wonderful group, which can provide a lot of fun and educational activities for girls. You may choose to do one of the following fun ideas with your troop.
Camping
Camping can be a lot of fun as well as an learning experience for girls. There are many parks and campgrounds around the nation, and they are generally inexpensive. You may also be able to find one with cabins if you would prefer. You can plan a lot of fun activities for the night before such as telling stories, taking a walk through nature, bird watching and more.
If you are not comfortable taking the children camping because of their age, then you can do everything but the sleeping over. You can take them to a park and let them have a lot of fun.
Sports day
Many girls love to play sports just as much as boys do. You can have a fun days of sports with them. You can plan games like soccer, baseball, flag football, kickball and more. You can keep a tally of the score or just make it for fun. You can also go somewhere such as a mini-golf course.
Jumping
There are many companies that have bounce houses set up for kids to play in. Monkey Joe’s and Pump It Up are too popular ones.
Pool party
If the weather is warm, you could consider doing a pool party with the girls. Make certain that you have enough people to supervise the children so that it is safe.
Build-a-Bear
Many girls love this popular store, which is in located in malls around the country. The kids can make their own stuffed animal for a wonderful keepsake.
Candy making
There are some chocolate stores that offer workshops on making candy. They may bake cookies or put chocolate into different molds.
Arts and crafts
You can let the girls in your troop showcase their creativity. You can get one or more age-appropriate arts and crafts activities for the children to do. It could relate to the season or just be a general activity.
Zoo
Many kids love animals. The zoo can provide a fun learning experience. If you have a special place near you such as Lion Country Safari, then this can be enjoyable as well.
