She is the woman of your dreams, and the feelings you have for her transcend what mere words can impart. “I love you” can and should be said in many different ways. Try the following unique ways to let her know.
Write a letter to her to tell her what she means to you
She knows that you love her because you tell her, but what does that mean? You can tell her by writing her a love letter. Perhaps you wrote those years ago when you were courting. Why not tell her now, even if it has been many years from your love’s first kiss. Write of the love you have for her, telling her about the personality traits you adore. You can give your spouse many such small notes – tuck one in every day with his lunch. You can take a journal and fill it with such prose to give as an anniversary present. Be genuine and honest and make sure that your love flows through.
Your eyes
Your eyes can tell your spouse that you love him or her in a way that words cannot. When you gaze at your spouse, think about what you feel for him or her. Think about why you love them. You can do this just as you are holding them. You will often see understanding in your spouse’s eyes as well as the same love reflected there.
A grand gesture
For those who love big surprises, you can choose this to show your love to your spouse. Put the words “I love you” on the big board when you go to a sports game. Get a banner made for a plane to fly. Get a singing telegram. Fill your wife’s office with twelve bouquets of flowers. Many find these to be the most meaningful of all.
Touch
It is amazing what small touches can share. Rubbing your spouse’s back when she is sad can impart your love. Hold her tight like she is the only woman in the world. Give her a neck massage when she has had a bad day. These little touches throughout the day can tell your spouse that you still love him or her and want to be close.
