There are many creative decorating ideas for Halloween cupcakes. Use your creativity to come up with something cute. Consider the following ideas.
Spider cupcake
It is very easy to decorate a cupcake as a spider. You can first cover it with a plain color icing such as white or orange or another color. You can make them all different colors if you’d like. If you want something very easy then just use black icing to draw a spider. Another cute idea is to make a spider out of candy. You can use a black jelly bean for the body of the spider. You can then use thin black licorice for the legs. You can also just put a black spider ring on the top of every cupcake. That will give the kids a fun toy to take home.
Pumpkin cupcake
Another fun idea is to make pumpkin cupcakes. These aren’t too scary and thus will be good for even young kids. You can use orange icing to draw a two dimensional image of it. Alternatively you can use thicker icing to shape a three dimensional pumpkin on it. There are big orange candies that you also can use as a base as well.
Witch’s hat cupcake
The top of the cupcake can look like a witches hat. You can get something like taffy and shape it into a triangular shape to put on top of the cupcake. Of course it should be black. Alternatively you can also use icing to make the image of a witch flying through the air.
Scary cat cupcake
Black cats are very common during this scary holiday. You can use black icing over a lighter colors in order to draw this out.
Worms cupcakes
A lot of kids love to be “grossed out” on Halloween. You can tell them that for this cupcake they will be eating worms. You can make chocolate cupcakes and top it with a black icing that you say is the dirt. You can break up chocolate cookies to add to the consistency of the concoction. On the top you can put a bunch of gummies that look like worms. A lot of kids love these and they can feel “gross” as they eat them.
In creating your Halloween cupcakes, you are only limited by your creativity. Consider the above ideas when making your creations. You can go with one idea or you can have a mixture.
