Student Art Projects for Back to School
There are many great student art projects for back-to-school. These can help get the children ready to start school and also familiarize them with the new year and class. The following are some of these projects.
The students can draw a picture of what they did for the summer
The children may enjoying sharing with others what they did during the vacation. You can have them use crayons, markers and paints to show off these great activities. If they went on a vacation to visit family, for instance, they can show a picture of their family members. If they went swimming a lot then they can show this. You can also let them add other embellishments such as glitter, rhinestones, beads, foam shapes and more.
Decorate a name tag
A lot of students will not know each other when they first start school. You may want to have them make their own name tag as an art project. You can just make it a sticker or you can make one from paper and attach a string to it so that they can hang it from their necks. They can then decorate it. They can draw their name in a unique manner and add stickers or other embellishments. Also, you can laminate it afterwards if you want it to stay for longer.
Class artwork
You can have the children draw pictures of the different students in the room. They can also write out their names. This can be a good way for them to start to become familiar with the other people in the classroom.
What I like about school artwork
You can have the children draw out artwork about what they like about school. When so many kids might be sad to end the summer vacation, you can get them thinking about some things they may enjoy. They may like to draw art time or recess for instance.
All about me art project
The students might want to make an art project that can help introduce them to the class. For instance, they can draw some of their favorite things to do, their family, etc. You can then post these up so that the other children can see them or they can present them to teach the others a little about them.
An art project can be a great way to get the children ready to learn as they embark on a new school year. Consider the above projects when making your plans.
