As the end of school approaches, you may want to have a bulletin board to celebrate all that you have done during the year and the future. The following are ideas for such a board..
Highlights of the class bulletin board
You can go over the major parts of the class over the past year, hopefully reminding some of the students of what they learned. You can put in a little section for each subject. For instance, if the students learned about astronomy, then you can put in a picture and information about the solar system. If they learned about the constitution, then you can put up a replica. You can also get the children involved by having them write out what their favorite part of the class was on index cards and then posting those up. You can also post up some of the great student projects that they did throughout the year or pictures that you took from events that the class was involved in.
You can also talk about the accomplishments of the students during the year. Hopefully they have learned a lot and have a lot to be proud of. You can use both photographs and writing to explore these.
Summer plans bulletin board
A lot of students are looking towards the future at the end of the year. You can write about fun things to do during the break such as swimming, vacationing, etc. Again, get the students involved if you can, and you can do so by having them write out what they are planning on doing for their summer vacations. You can also include photographs.
Useful information bulletin board
You might use the bulletin board to help the children get ready for the end of school. For instance, you could write out a schedule of end of the year events that are occurring such as recitals, award ceremonies, graduations, projects, presentations, etc. You can write out different things that need to happen at the end of the year such as the returning of textbooks, final tests and grades, etc. Put in anything that the students will need to remember so that the bulletin board can be a great reference for them.
A bulletin board at the end of the school year can remind the students of the past, provide them with information about the present and make them excited for the future. Consider the above ideas when making your board.
