You want to make sure that your home office is properly appointed with all of the things you need to work. When everything is close at hand, you will work more effectively and efficiently and not need to search around for things. Comfortable chair
You may be sitting for long spans of time, and you want your chair to be comfortable. Of course you do not want it to be so comfortable that you fall asleep in it. It should support your back well. These are a number of great desk chairs at office supply stores.
Desk with the features you want
There are many different choices in desks, which range from small and inexpensive pieces to expensive luxury desks that cost in the thousands. You want a desk that will hold all of the items you need and give you enough work space to do your work. Computer
You want a computer that is powerful enough to handle your business. If it would be helpful, you can get a set up that has two monitors. You also want to have all of the extra equipment that goes with a computer. Get a good printer. You may also want a fax machine and a scanner/copier for other business functions.
Phone
You want to be able to make calls to and from your office. Get a phone system that works for you. You may want a system with a speakerphone.
Office supplies
Make sure that you include all of the necessary office supplies that you will need. This will include pens, pencils, a stapler, tape, thumb tacks, paper clips and paper.
Miscellaneous items
There are many miscellaneous items you may need. For instance, you may opt to have a recycling bin so that you can toss any of the extra paper. You may want a large calendar and office clock. Think about the items that would make you more comfortable and allow you to work better.
