: Wake up Tips for Sleepyheads

Are you an admitted sleepyhead? Do you arise in the morning wishing you had about twelve more hours to sleep? There are different things that you can do to help wake yourself up, including the following ideas.
Take a cool, refreshing shower
A lot of people find that a cool refreshing shower can help wake them up in the morning. Make sure that you have enough time for this. You can get some nice smelling soap. Lather yourself up. A lot of people feel very refreshed after this.
Eat a good breakfast
Food wakes a lot of people up. You may not feel as good if you just grab a candy bar on your way out. Try to make time for something healthy and nutritious to get your day started out right. You might want to try some sweet fruit or whole grain cereal.
Exercise
Even though exercise might not seem like what you want to do first thing in the morning, it can really wake you up. What’s more, it is very healthy for you, and this can be a great time to get it in. You can try to do something you enjoy, whether it is taking a morning swim, a morning jog or even getting up early to do an aerobics class. Because so many people like to exercise in the morning, you will find many gyms open in the wee hours.
Give yourself something fun to do in the morning
If you plan for something fun in the morning, then it might help to get you up. Many people are going straight to work, and that might not be very motivating. Perhaps you can wake up fifteen minutes early and read that exciting book you are in the middle of. Perhaps you can watch a little of an exciting movie or play a video game or surf the Internet. If you have a friend or family member who has to be up early, then you can spend a little time together and motivate each other to get up. Giving yourself fifteen minutes of fun time in the morning might help you wake up and give you a very nice start to the day.
There is no one right strategy for waking up in the morning if you are a sleepyhead because everyone responds to different things. If you are really having trouble, you might want to evaluate whether you are getting enough sleep and need to wake up earlier.
