Many women start with a lip liner. This can help you put it on the right way and provide a better look. It also may help your lips look plumper, which can be advantageous for someone who has thin lips. Generally, you should pick a lip liner that is similar to the lipstick but is several shades darker. When applying the liner, go slightly beyond the edge of your lips if your lips are thin and you want them to look like they are a little larger. Start from the edge of your lips and move to the middle of your mouth. Some people will also put the liner on their entire lips, but make sure that you are aware of the outside line.
