A gender reveal party is a fun idea where parents-to-be have a party to tell people the gender of their child. There are many different ways that they can do this, which are a lot of fun.
Scavenger hunt
One way to share the gender of your child at a party is to have a scavenger hunt. Give guests a series of clues, which they need to follow to the next clue. These can be related to babies. For instance, they may have to look for a diaper or a box of wipes. At the end it can lead to a piece of paper with the gender of the baby on it.
Skit
A fun way to share the gender is to do a skit. You could get some people to go up and act out things that happen with a baby. For instance, they can pretend to be decorating the baby’s room or looking at the sonogram picture. The guests have to judge from the skit what the gender is.
Give clues
You can also give clues from little know facts. One way to do this is you can get a bunch of facts about a gender and talk about them. You might say, “The baby is part of the gender that blinks more” or “The baby is part of the gender that on average goes out to eat x times per week.” Look for different statistics and see who can figure out what gender it is.
Finding eggs around the house
You can turn the party into an egg hunt. Hide blue and pink eggs around the house. Alternatively, they could be anything little where one is pink and one is blue. Everybody has to collect as many as they can find. Try to get enough so that everyone can get some. At the end everyone has to count the amount of blue and the amount of pink they have. When you combine everyone’s totals, the color that has the most indicates the gender of the baby.
Show the room
A nice idea for the gender reveal party is to reveal it by showing the baby’s room. It will be all decorated for the baby and will reveal the gender in its decorations.
