You may not have a lot of money, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t decorate a baby girl’s nursery that is fit for a princess. Try the following creative yet inexpensive methods.
Paint a beautiful scene
You can turn your baby girl’s nursery into a fairy tale land by painting a mural on the wall. Even if you are not a skilled painter (and don’t have the money to hire someone) you still might be able to make a pretty scene. For instance, you can paint in simple trees, flowers, birds, etc. They sell many stencils that make it very easy to paint these. Also, you can purchase stick-ons for very inexpensive. They even have murals that are like big stick-ons to go on walls.
A little painting on the furniture can also take discount store pieces and make them seem like they came from an exclusive boutique. You can just paint some little flowers or vines and it can look extravagant.
Try creative but inexpensive wall art
There are many beautiful ways to decorate your baby girl’s nursery. You can go to the dollar store and purchase fake flowers to put all over. You can buy some pretty fancy girl’s dresses used at a consignment store and hang these on the wall as part of your decorations. They have big posters that you can put up for much less than an expensive piece of artwork. Instead of buying expensive hand-painted letters to spell out her name, do it yourself. You can also use the cards that people give you in your décor. A lot of the baby cards are very pretty and you can make a collage of them for a special and customized piece of art. You can also take a beautiful and colorful baby blanket and hang that.
Buy inexpensive linens and bedding
A lot of how your baby girl’s nursery will look is going to depend in the linens, curtains, etc. You can find less expensive places from which to buy these. Oftentimes the baby stores are expensive, but you might be able to find similar yet still pretty items at a more reasonable discount store like Target.
You can make a little girl’s nursery beautiful without spending a lot of money. You will find many inexpensive decorations at consignment shops as well as discount stores. Look for sales, specials, coupons and clearance as well.
