Many young girls love Barbie. This can make a great theme for your little girl’s birthday party, and there are many ways you can incorporate this popular toy. Consider the following ideas.
Decorate with Barbie party supplies
You will find many party supplies related to Barbie. They have paper goods like plates, cups, napkins and more. You can also decorate with Barbie. You can buy cutouts and other Barbie decorations or you can make your own with poster board or Barbie pictures from the Internet. You can also put out different Barbie dolls as decorations as well.
Have a Barbie sleepover and let them watch Barbie movies
There have been many Barbie movies recently, including the Island Princess, Mermaidia, Fairytopia, Barbie, A Mermaid Tale and many more. You can have a sleepover in which the girls can watch a selection of these different Barbie movies.
Let the girls put on a play with Barbies
There are different ways you can do this. You can get out a bunch of Barbies and they can play with them, pretending that they talk or make some sort of puppet show. Alternatively they can put on a play based on one of the Barbie movies.
Have someone come to perform and pretend to be Barbie
You might be able to find a performer who will come and pretend to be Barbie or one of the characters from the movies. Of course they will need to look the part. If you know someone who does, you might be able to get a friend to do this as well. The prices for this can range and you might spend $100-$300 for such an entertainer.
Create Barbie games
There are different games that you can do that are related to Barbie. You can make a version of pin the tail on the donkey that is instead place the shoe on Barbie’s foot or something like that.
Have the girls have a Barbie dress up party
The girls can come dressed up like Barbie or you can have outfits that they can put on. They sell some costumes related to the movies such as from Barbie: A Mermaid Tale. You can also just have the girls try to recreate the Barbie outfit that is their favorite. You can also do a little makeover party and do their hair, nails and makeup.
When the party is over you can give a Barbie doll as a party favor. Use that and the above ideas to make a great Barbie party.
