There are many great action figures for tween boys. If you are getting it for a gift, then try to find out if the boy has any particular characters he likes before making your selection. The following are some commonly enjoyed figures by this age group.
Superman
Up, up and away! Many tween boys love Superman, and you will find a wide array of action figures depicting the popular superhero. Many of them will allow you to reposition his arms and legs. He might be in full gear or he might be wearing his Clark Kent disguise. They have made them from the different movies such as Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns character modeled after Brandon Routh. In addition to Superman, you will find other actions figures related to this comic franchise such as Lex Luthor. These come in different sizes and at different price points. You can usually find these in a hobby store and online as well as often at general stores such as Target.
Batman
With the success of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the Batman franchise has seen a recent rebirth. You will find many action figures related to this franchise; many will come with accessories such as the Batmobile or different gear seen in the movies.
Iron Man
Robert Downey Jr. has made him come alive on the big screen, and your child can make him come alive with an action figure. This super-strong hero comes in many action figures.
Spiderman
He’s Peter Parker, but better known as Spiderman. They made lots of action figures of this fully costumed web-slinging character. Some of them have special features such as looking like he actually shoots web. Some of them also come with other action figures such as villains.
Sports action figures
Many tween boys love sports. If they do, then they might like an action figure of their favorite sports star. Of course, not all sports stars have action figures made of them, but these do exist for many of the more popular sports. You will often see a lot of such figures for wrestling. These may also come with different accessories to go with the action figures.
You will often find more action figures when a particular movie comes out. Many tween boys see these movies and would like some action figures to display in their rooms. The above figures are some very commonly seen.
