Best Halloween Costumes for Kids
There are many great 2010 Halloween costumes. Some of these are classics, while others are fairly new. The following are some of these, broken down by gender.
Girls
Princess
A lot of girls love to be princesses. This is especially popular in the preschool and young elementary school age set but you can find it for even older children. They may like to pick out a particular princess such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, or the Little Mermaid. They may be a more generic princess as well.
Fairy
Many girls also love to be fairies. They sell many costumes with wings and wands. She could be a particular fairy like Tinkerbell or Alina from the Barbie movies.
Witch
A witch is a classic costume, and they make many different versions. You can easily make it yourself with a black dress and a pointy hat. Do not forget the broom!
Animal
A lot of little girls love to dress as different animals. For instance, they might like to be a sweet kitty cat. You will see many different versions of this with a black leotard with a cute tail. They might like to be little puppy dogs, a ladybug or another cute animal.
Boys:
Pirate
A lot of boys fancy themselves little pirates. You can buy a costume such as one from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. You can also make him one. You can include accessories such as an eye patch, a stuffed bird and, of course, a sword.
Vampire
A lot of boys might like to be vampires. You can get them a dark outfit and use makeup to make their face look pale. You can buy fake teeth with fangs as well.
Character from a movie/TV show
A lot of kids might like to go as a character from a movie or television show. For instance, they might like to go as a character from Avatar. They may like to be Indiana Jones. A lot of boys usually like to dress up as the characters from the Star Wars movies such as Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker.
Superhero
Many boys love to be superheroes, and this is a popular Halloween costume every year. You will often see quite a few Supermans trick-or-treating this night. You will also see children dressed up like Batman, Spiderman, Iron Man and more.
