Bulletin Board Ideas 100th Day of School
(444 Words)
The 100th day of school is a special milestone for children. A bulletin board can highlight this time and serve as a way to review the lessons of the past and educational goals of the future.
Review of the first 100 days
You can focus your bulletin board on what you have accomplished in the first 100 days of school. For instance, if you are in a science class and you completed a large lesson on astronomy, then you can put up photographs of the different planets, telescopes and other items related to the field.
It would be beneficial to get the children involved in making the bulletin board since many kids learn more by actively “doing.” You can ask them to write a report or draw a picture (depending on the age of the kids) of what they have learned in the first 100 days. They can write about their favorite lesson.
Numbers bulletin board
If the class is a math class or if it is an elementary school classroom in which math is a part, then you can turn it into an opportunity to teach about numbers. If the children are very young and just learning how to count, then you can have the different numbers on the board. You can even put photographs of 100 of something such as 100 flowers that they need to count. For a classroom with older kids, you can put in some principles of mathematics. For instance, you can show that different numbers add up to be 100 (90+10, 50+50, etc). You can show multiplication (10×10, 5×20) or other mathematics principles.
The next 100 days of school
You can also use the bulletin board to focus on the next 100 days or just the future of the class in general. You can give the children a basic idea of some of the upcoming lessons in the class. If they will be learning about plants, for instance, then you can post up photographs of these plants. You can ask the children to write about what they would like to accomplish in the next 100 days of school, either in class or in their personal lives. Have them make something that you can post on the bulletin board.
You are not just limited to one idea for your bulletin board celebrating the 100th day of school. You can include both information about what you did in the past as well as what you will do in the future, for instance. Decorate it with attractive pictures to make it visually attractive for the students. With hard work and a little creativity, you can make a memorable display for students.
