Bulletin Board Ideas Dogs

Dogs are an outstanding theme for a bulletin board for children. Many kids are already familiar with them, yet they can probably still learn a lot from a bulletin board. There are various components to consider for your board.
Start with a great background
You can make a plain background if you want the items on top to stand out. Alternatively, you can make a background that specifically has to do with dogs such as a wrapping paper that has dogs or paw prints all over them. You can also get fabric with a dog theme as well. Many teachers like to place a border around their bulletin board as well.
Place up photographs of dogs
You will probably want to include pictures of dogs in your bulletin board. You can use this as an opportunity to teach the children about the differences in the different breeds of dogs. They may be familiar with the more common ones or one in particular that they own, but they might not know all of the different types out there. If you want to get the kids involved, then you can ask that they bring in pictures of dogs that they own, but be careful because the kids without dogs might get upset.
You can also put up artwork on dogs. Of course there are many famous pieces with dogs, but you can also put up pictures that the children create themselves. Seeing their own work may give them more interest.
Place in information about the dogs
If you put in the pictures of the different breeds, then you can put in accompanying information. The details that you get into will depend on their age. Of course you can put in the name of the breed, as well as their weight, size, temperament, numbers, etc. You can also just put in information about dogs in general. You can describe basic facts about dogs such as how they interact with humans, how they are in different countries, the history of them being domesticated and so forth.
Place up covers of books about dogs
In a lot of classrooms, they want reading to be a focal point, and there are many kids’ stories that have dogs as the main subject such as Go, Dogs, Go. You can put up copies of these books. You can even put up comics with dogs in them.
A dog related bulletin board can be a great addition to any classroom. The above elements can make for a comprehensive board.
