Policeman
They put their lives in the line of fire – literally – in order to save lives. Policemen and women are the first ones into dangerous situations. They investigate crimes, often by people who committed murder and would be happy to do so again. They chase after the bad guys in super fast car chases, and return fire when shot at. Even a routine traffic stop can become dangerous. They rescue those in need. There are many different police positions in the United States, and there is always the potential for something bad to happen. Of course it is a very noble profession because their willingness to combat the bad guys and bad situations saves lives every single day.
Fireman
When most people see fire, they run the other way. For firemen and women it is the opposite. They are the ones who run into burning buildings in order to save people trapped inside. They go into hazardous situations to put out fires and stop things from getting worse. They save lives, and in the process put their own lives at risk. They also might perform other rescues as well, which can be dangerous. Most people would consider this a dangerous profession.
Fisherman/loggers/pilots
There are many other jobs that you would not think of that are dangerous. For instance, fishing can be a very dangerous job with a high fatality rate according to Forbes. Someone could get caught in a storm and have a problem. Also, many loggers have problems as well. Many in this profession work high in the air and could have falls or other accidents that can be extremely dangerous. Piloting is another profession that can be dangerous.
There are many different jobs that have danger in them. Some others are not dangerous in the physical sense of the word, but might also have higher rates of stress. When you have higher rates of stress, then you might have a higher rate of physical problems such as high blood pressure, which can then lead to heart problems. The aforementioned jobs are some of the most dangerous out there.
