Disney World has a lot of fun rides for people of all ages. There are thrill rides, children’s rides, educational rides and more. The following are some of the best rides at Walt Disney World.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Before it was a movie, it was a ride, and a popular one of that. You will travel by boat through some unfriendly waters as you encounter pirates galore. This is a favorite among visitors to Walt Disney World. The boats can handle a lot of people, so the wait is usually not as bad as some of the other popular rides. The ride itself is fairly gently with only one minor drop. With its catchy tune, young and old alike will enjoy this, although it might be a little scary for the youngest visitors.
It’s a Small World
This iconic ride at Walt Disney World is a favorite among both children and adults. You can’t help but sing along to the fun theme song as you travel through brightly colored sets depicting the youth of the world. Animated dolls sing and dance in fun unison as you relax on the slow moving boat. When you get off, you are likely to hear “Can we do it again?” The boats hold a fairly large amount of people, and the wait is often not too bad.
Thunder Mountain
Oh no! The railway has run away! This is a fun roller coaster ride that is not as heavy as a lot of the major roller coasters. No huge drops or upside down loops but lots of twists and turns. It has a fun theme.
Space Mountain
This popular ride is a roller coaster in the dark. You are going through a star-studded galaxy in this fast roller coaster. Be prepared for a wait in this innovative ride.
Jungle Cruise
This fun boat ride is relaxing and fun. The guides tell one joke after the next as you scour the shores for interesting views. Get your sense of humor ready for this ride.
Tomorrowland Speedway
Many kids dream of driving cars, and this might be the closest they get until 16. The motor speedway allows kids to drive on a “real” track. The cars feel like they are going fast, but with its track, you cannot go more than a few inches off track and won’t bump into the cars next to you.
There are many wonderful rides at Disney World. Some of them, like Winnie the Pooh, Space Mountain and others, offer “fastpasses,” which allow you to get a pass in advance to skip part of the line later. Take advantage of that to save you time. Try all of the different rides to enjoy a varied experience.
