For many desiring a Disney World vacation, they have no choice but to visit during the summer months, often because of school and work commitments. This can be a nice time to go, however it can be extremely crowded during this time of year since so many people are in the same situation. The following are tips on how to work around the crowds at Disney during the summer.
Go first thing in the morning
One of the best things you can do is to try to get to the park when it opens. It is usually less busy first thing in the morning then it will get later on during the day. You will be able to beat a lot of the crowds. When you get there early, you will want to go to the rides that tend to fill up the fastest. You might be able to go on and off of these rides in no time at all whereas later in the day you may have an hour wait or more. If you can get a lot done at the beginning you might feel better and be able to do the things that are less popular and have fewer waits later on.
Give yourself enough time
Things do take longer with the crowds. You will wait on more lines and you might even have to spend time searching for a table at which to eat. You will even wait on line to get your food. If you plan too much in the time you have and do not take into account all of the people, then you might just get frustrated and you might not have a nice time. Give yourself plenty of time so that you can be relaxed and not upset when you can’t accomplish all that you have planned.
Use the Fast Pass system
Disney World has a fast pass system. This is a system in which you can go to certain rides and get a Fast Pass ticket. This ticket will allow you to come back at a certain time (they usually give you a time range of about an hour). When you come back you will either walk straight on the ride or have to go through a much shorter line. If you are careful with how you use this then you can save yourself a significant amount of time waiting in line.
Disney World can be very crowded in the summer but there are things you can do to navigate through. Consider the above tips for managing your way through it.
