For instance, you can consider Costco. They have many party trays such as wraps, sandwiches, salads and more. They have veggie trays that are very reasonable. They sell large cakes that feed 48 people for approximately $17, which is much cheaper than many places. You can make it a buffet. You can also consider less expensive types of food like those that are vegetarian. Also, a lot of people seem to have half of their buffet left after every Christmas party. Do not let this happen in 2010. Try to plan better so that you do not overbuy so much.
Save money on other miscellaneous costs

Perhaps you could give one per family this year. Also, you could also consider how many people you invite to your party. You may have people that you really do not even keep in touch with for the rest of the year. A more intimidate party might be nicer anyways.
