Creative Bulletin Board Ideas for Art Teachers

An art teacher might use a bulletin board as both a teaching tool and a lovely display in their room. There are many creative ideas that such a teacher can employ, including the following.
Museum display of the students’ art
The bulletin board can be set up like it is a museum wall, and the works it can display will be the work of the children themselves. You could title it with the teacher’s name and “Museum” or some other creative name such as the Louvre. You can then display small pieces of art by the children. You can place paper frames around them so that it looks like they are on display in a gallery. You can switch out the pictures throughout the school year so that the children’s latest works are always shown.
Famous artists bulletin board
An art teacher might want to teach her students about famous artists and their works. You can have pictures of some of the most famous pieces of art such as the Mona Lisa and then have information about the artists up there. You can also have pictures of the artists. If the children are young, one way to be creative is to focus on the artists as children and how they got their start in the art world. This may help the students relate to them.
Styles of art bulletin board
An art teacher might want to make a bulletin board exploring the different styles of art. You can put all of them on one bulletin board or you can explore one type at a time. You can put examples of the different types of art. Also, you can have the children get involved and have them design a piece of artwork in that style and then hang those up.
Interactive bulletin board
A lot of students love to learn by actively participating in something. You could make your bulletin board like this. For instance, you could quiz them by having pictures of different styles of art. The students might have to guess which style and then the picture would life up to reveal the answer underneath.
Make it stand out
A lot of art is not flat but stands out such as sculpture. You can use different art materials so that it literally comes off the board.
A bulletin board can be attractive and educational, and can fit in perfectly in an art classroom. The above ideas might help you get started on your display.
