When you are dating, you obviously want to avoid toxic and time-wasting people. Yet how do you know who these people are? There are different signs, including the following.
The person is in the relationship with another person
It is not a good sign when the person you are dating is dating – or worse married to – someone else. Many times these people make lots of empty promises, saying that they do not love their significant other and are about to break it off, but when it comes down to it, they often do not want to be faithful to you. You may feel guilty (and rightly so) if you are the “other woman” or “other man” and you may get very invested in a relationship that ends up going nowhere. Plus if they are cheating on someone else, then there is no reason why they won’t cheat on you eventually. Find a relationship in which you both are free.
Someone who seems like they are only into sexual relations
Unfortunately, a lot of people do not want a real relationship but only sexual relations. This is okay if it is what both want, but if you are looking for something more, then you should be sure to avoid these people. You might just keep falling for someone who doesn’t want anything deeper. You also might do something you are not ready to do because you are trying to please your partner.
Someone who seems to move on from one person to the next
If you are dating someone who has been married seven times or who has had a girlfriend every week for the past year then you might be wasting your time. Some people have difficulty committing or would rather “play the field.” Of course, some people do eventually settle down, but be aware of these patterns.
Someone with bad habits
A lot of people like a “bad girl” or “bad guy” but look at how bad. For instance, if the person likes to drink just a little too much, then this can affect you. You do not want to start dating someone you know is an alcoholic. If they have other habits such as drugs or doing some crimes, then you will want to avoid getting caught up in that.
There are many toxic and time-wasting people out there. You may want to avoid the above people.
