: Easy Halloween Costumes to Make for Kids

A lot of parents choose to make their child’s Halloween costume, eager to save money in these trying times. You might not have a lot of time or the skills to make a complicated costume, however. Fortunately, there are many easy costumes that you can make, including the following.
Ghost
A ghost is one of the easiest Halloween costumes that you can make. You simple need to get an old white sheet. A large tablecloth or blanket will work as well. For a small child, even a pillowcase might be suitable. You just then need to cut out holes for your child’s eyes, mouth and nose in the middle of it. Plop it over your child’s head, make sure that it is not so long that it drags on the floor and you are finished. All your child has to do is to say boo.
Witch
Witches are very common Halloween costumes for girls, and they are also not that difficult to make. Of course, you can sew one from a pattern or your own design, but you can easily re-purpose some clothes you have instead. You can get a large black adult t-shirt for instance. Belt it in the middle. You can get paint to paint your child’s face green if she wants. You can buy a witch’s hat or make one out of black construction paper. Give her a household broom and she’ll be ready to fly!
Angel
An angel is another Halloween costume that is not too difficult. You can take any white dress. You can also just make one from white fabric. It does not have to be complicated. You can buy wings or just make your own out of poster board. You can make a halo for her head with white pipe cleaners twisted in the shape of a circle.
Kitty Cat
A kitty cat can be a cute and easy costume. You can put her in a jumpsuit or just a black long sleeve shirt and long pants. You will need to attach a tail. You can just make this with a little bit of fabric sewn together. You also need to make ears. You can take a headband and glue a couple of triangular shaped pieces of fabric to be the ears. You can finish the look with makeup whiskers.
There are a lot of great Halloween costumes out there. You are only limited by your own creativity and skills in what you can make. Consider the above easy-to-make Halloween costumes for your little one.
